An afternoon in Brighton
It’s end of
November. Maybe not the perfect time of the year for going to the beach, at
least not in UK. But it’s late to regret. I’m in the train to Brighton.
Something
weird is happening with the weather because last week it was freezing and today
I’m just wearing my blazer, even though, the sky is completely grey.
Brighton is
colourful, full of nice shops and beautiful streets. The best part of
travelling around this time of the year is that Christmas decoration is all
over the places. And, honestly, I love it! The idea today is to get lost into
the different lanes, do some "window shopping", and then go to the
beach.
Shops here
are lovely and maybe a little bit less expense than in London, anyway, I’m not
about to buy anything today.
There is a
cake shop that deserve a visit, the cakes are amazing. However, I won’t like to
eat any of them. They seems to be art more than cakes. They are nice but at the
same time, dark and creepy.
The seaside
is close to the city centre. My friend has already warned me and I wasn’t
expecting a sandy beach. The pier catches your sight in the first minute. It is
nice. And you start walking on it without realizing actually you are walking
over the sea. There is an amusement park, but I don’t want to imagine how it
should be to be in the roller-coaster so close to the water. I believe it
should be as if you were about to fall to the sea.
Time flies
when you are having fun. It’s time to go back home.
