A reality check

I am defeated.

Today the shop assistant of the shop where I went to do some shopping asked my age and I, without hesitation and with the most absolutely naiveity answered him.  And out of the blue he exclamed, Oh! you almost double my age!

I couldn't give up laughting... the poor guy didn't know how to solve the situation...at least he was sincere...a babblermouth but sincere.
