Books July 2018
I think I have never read so much in my life... don't ask me why, but I just wanted to read.
1.- The Poppy War - R.F Kuang
Honestly, I'm devastated because I have to wait until I could read the sequel of this book. It is just AMAZING. I do love the main character. She is so well developed chapter by chapter...
☆ (5/5) please read it!!
2.- The lunar chronicles: Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Winter and Fairest - Marissa Meyers
If I have to choose one of the five I will say Scarlet. The series is an easy reading that just keep you turning pages as a crazy person. The story is good and I really enjoyed but I won't recommend them to everyone as The Poppy War.
☆ (4/5)
3.- Expedición Cabo Norte - Anina Anyway
Sometimes I read in my mother tongue. After my trip to North cape this book was waiting for me. Their trip is completely different from mine. I just went by plane and drove a car to reach to each place I fancy. However, they just bike from Spain to North cape living a million of interesting things. This book is encouraging and fun. I absolutely recommend it.
☆ (5/5)
4.- Fiesta, the sun also raises - Ernest Hemingway
I don't know how to explain this. I just finished the book because it was short and I don't like giving up books. I didn't feel anything for the characters, no any kind of attachment or comprehension. I dislike the story. I read while thinking, why the hell I bought this book...
☆ (1/5)
5.- Heartless - Marissa Meyers
After the disaster of Ernest Hemingway I decided to come back to Marissa Meyers just to feel some fun reading. Heartles was just ok. At least I wanted to turn the page. The story is not as good as the Lunar Chronicles but it still deserves a chance.
☆ (3/5)
6.- Madrid Oculto - Marco y Peter Besas
I was just feeling curios about my own city. Honestly, some of the things they told I haven't even heard about. It is really interesting and make me view my city with other eyes.
☆ (4/5)
7.- Six of crows - Leigh Bardugo
Such a good story!!! It is a weird book because I wanted to know what was about to happen next but I felt so sad because I was finishing it!! The story is good, the characters, each of them, are amazing and the whole book is something to deserve a reading!
The good part is that there is a sequel, the bad part is that I have already read it...
☆ (5/5)
8.- Darkfever - Karen Marie Moning
After Six of crows I was so desperate to read something similar till I receive the second part, I thought Darkfever could be a good choice. But nothing further from reality. I don't like darkfever. I cannot feel anything for the characters and the story and situations seems forced... Karen Marie is just throwing you away from the story all the time... I just lost my time...
